When you ask about the quest, Minsc, scuffles, but then tells you that he comes from Rashamen and was charged by the leaders of his tribe to take a "Dajemma", a sorceress, into his protection. Minsc notices you and begins to shout at you, asking your assistance in a gallant quest. he seems to be talking to himself, but as you move closer, you notice that he's talking to a hamster named Boo, which was stuffed in a breastpocket.

In front of the barracks you meet an enormous Ranger, called Minsc. Ghastkill immeadetely recognises Jaheira and starts a conversation with her, emphasising the need to check the Nashkell mines, which, for some time only produces detoriated Iron, which explains the Iron shortage. After killing her in person, you go to the Temple of Helm where you meet the mayor, Berrun Ghastkill. You leave Bereghost and head for Nashkell, where you are, again, attacked by an assasin.

The bounty notice claims that someone has put a price on your head. Jaheira kills the Dwarf, and you discover that he was carrying a bounty notice, similar to the one founded on the mage who tried to kill you in front of the Friendly Arm Inn. As you enter the inn, you are assaulted by a Dwarf, seemingly without reason. The next day you arrive in the village of Bereghost, where yor party wants to sleep in the local in. Jaheira tells you that she and Khalid will need to get to the town of Nashkel to investingate the neverending Iron shortage. she and her husband, the timid yet sympathetic Khalid, Where waiting for you. You and Imoen enter the Inn, where you're instantly recognised by a tall and boss Druid named Jaheira. After asking your name, he suddely attacks but is killed by an arrow fired by Imoen. As you and Imoen reach the Inn, you are approached by a mage in black robes. As your are looking at him, you blink and he suddenly disappears. Before you understand what's going on, the man departs. Before you reach the Inn, You meet a queer old man wearing red robes and a pointy hat. You and Imoen depart and head North-East, to the Friendly Arm Inn. She admits to have followed you, after nosing into Gorions correspondence. There you meet Imoen, your friend, who witnessed the attack. You escape, but are wounded.Īs Dawn is breaking, you find yourself on the West road, which is, ironically, east of Candlekeep. Gorion sacrefices himself to let you escape, and kills all the brigands except the leader who kills him. The leader of the brigands seem to know Gorion and attacks the old man after a heated discussion. Parting at nightfall, you and your guardian walk through the forests near the Swordcoast. Gorion's answers remain ambigüous however. Totally shocked, you question Gorion about your destiniation and the purpose of the journey. When Gorion asks you to meet him in front of the Librairy and announced that you are about to leave Candlekeep, you are attacked by two assasins, who you manage to kill easily. On all other points, your past remains dark and unknown.įrom your childhood fried Imoen, you learn that Gorion has had some fierce correspondency with a friend, who lives in Baldurs Gate. You know Gorion isn(t your father and that when he moved to Candlekeep, you were already with him. You are the ward of Gorion, a scholar from the library town of Candlekeep. In this thread different Strategies will be discussed of Baldurs Gate and it's sequel, Shadows of Ahm.
